The browser takes long to update, is not updated on older platforms (Win7 won't get an update as it is now) and doesn't comply to the standards AT ALL. Get Chrome or whatever is out there, ditch IE.
I am using all browser, I know all their functions, settings and capabilities. But explorer always be my number one. It is the easiest to manipulate the way you want to use it in any aspect.
It's a shame that nicklealloy.com, the SL Checkbook 5.0 software company, is apparently out of business. For a personal or small business checkbook and sales accounting program SL Checkbook 5.0 is unsurpassed. The program is much simpler and intuitive than Quicken, for example, and for just $20 it ran FLAWLESSLY. In over six years of using the program for my small business I have never had the program fail. I'm still using it in 2012.
So far as of Jan 2, 2012 I am unable to find an active download page for the program, and the web site is shut down. In its place is a simple place-holding page saying "this domain may be for sale".
Luckily archive.org and their "wayback machine' allows people to see the web site as it once was. Here are other testimonials about SL checkbook from the site in archived format. I sure hope someone releases the program as freeware so other Windows XP users and perhaps later versions of windows can make use of this fine program.
TESTIMONIALS:
I'd just to say this is the THE handiest software I own. I got this program in 1996... in the ensuing 4 years I've gotten pretty much all new software, not to mention a whole new computer, but I STILL use this program. All my office software has changed, all my graphics programs have drastically changed, but SL checkbook chugs along. I've tried other checkbook software, but none are as good as this. THANKS MICHAEL BRADY! (The programs author) (Patti Richardson, Rockville, MD)
After shopping for a checkbook program all I could find was business programs with spread sheets and other stuff I don't need or want and wasn't going to pay $90 or more dollars for it. Someone said why not try a freeware site and I did and found a few checkbook programs, but your's is the best, I don't have to waste a lot of time just to use it and for $20 what a buy. Keep up the good programing work and am looking forward to anything else you do. Thank You (Dale from Lancaster, CA)
I plan on registering my copy of SL Checkbook (which I love and deleted MS Money 98 because of SL Checkbook's simplicity)... (Dan Wright)
This program just gets better, unlike many money programs you can buy, this is the only one that you dont end up buying, then find you only need half of it (Mrs V Skellorn, Lancashire, England.)
