Internet Explorer Safe Mode

If Internet Explorer is having speed or stability issues, there is always an option to start it in 'Safe Mode'. This mode turns off any add-ons and most of the extensions for Internet Explorer not required for the basic running of the browser.

  • Open a 'Command Prompt' window (Windows Key + R).
  • Type cd/ to get a blank C: prompt.
  • Type in "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff (where C: is your local drive).
